Soaring-Beautiful Voice

I am glad to add anything by Daniel Beck to my collection. We love his first CD "Love Like That" (so romantic & tender), and the songs he has added to many EFY collections (like his astonishing version of "Amazing Grace") And this CD certainly has exceeded every expectation. Beautiful arrangements of familiar hymns & LDS favorites.

The opening track "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" made me think I was going to hear an old-time gospel revival type song. Instead, we are treated to wonderfully tender lyrics set to folk tune "The Water is Wide." "Gentle Savior" is an instant favorite musically, giving terrific guidance lyrically: Gentle Savior, Lead Me On, Let Your Spirit Light My Way. "Softly and Tenderly" is another favorite for the tender, reassuring message: Ye Who Are Weary, Come Home.

Daniel is the LDS Josh Groban. Vocally stunning, unequalled. Cannot go wrong with this terrific testimony strengthening collection. Daniel, give us more--very soon!
