From the New York Times bestselling author of Princess Academy, a delightful novel for the Mr. Darcy-obsessed in all of us
Jane Hayes is a seemingly normal young New Yorker, but she is secretly obsessed with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. No real man can compare. When a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-crazed women, Jane's fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become reality.
Jane knows it's all a game. Yet the longer she stays, flirting with the actors playing gardeners and gentlemen, the more she wonders: will she kick the Austen obsession for good, or could all her dreaming culminate in a Mr. Darcy of her own?

My original review is gone...so here's a recap:
Hale has taken a fabulously fun premise and walked the low, easy road. Phrases like "rubbing someone's face in the poo of your happiness" and "jumping Darcy's bones" tell me all I need to know about the level and effort of Hale's humor.
And now DB is going to sell her 2nd Austen novel. I guess that's like selling the Twilight series until the market's saturated and then deciding not to carry it in store any more?
Sorry DB but we expect better.
We deserve better.
