The pedestal is nice and big. The bright butter yellow plate just puts a smile on your face. The beehive shaped dome is what makes this item so fun. I am not disappointed and will proudly display this cake pedestal in my kitchen for years to come. I am glad I made this purchase and it was shipped in a double box to make sure it got here in one piece.
Not quite what I expected

I received my pedestal today and was a little disappointed in it's quality. The handle had come unglued from the top of the dome and had some white spots where the brown glaze had either chipped off or not been painted at all. The dome also doesn't sit flush on the pedestal and wobbles a bit. I will fix these problems the best that I can and just live with the problems I can't fix since the item was on sale for 75% off. Due to issues of quality I'm surprised that the retail price isn't $19.99 rather than $99.
