About the Authors

Jack M. Lyon, managing editor at Deseret Book Company, helped compile the two-volume Best-Loved Stories of the LDS People and other books in the Best-Loved series. He and his wife, Anne, have four children and have two grandchildren and reside in West Valley City, Utah.

In addition to co-authoring several books, Jay A. Parry has published numerous articles on Church-related subjects. He has also presented a series of classes at BYU Education Week on the subject of daily miracles. He and his wife, Vicki, live in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We had this book growing up. Even as a teenager it was a great source of strength and inspiration. I had a book of quotes that I would collect. Many came from this book.
