My children and I have read this so much that we have been through two since it first came out. We love the pictures, and the easier terms to understanding harder words for younger children. We use this daily in our family Scripture Study.

This is our families scripture time reading scriptures. We have literally worn it out the last 6 years. I have 5 little ones, so it is great that I can explain what we read a little better with the additional information given.

My children love reading this edition of the Book of Mormon. The beautiful artwork throughout this volume really keep my children interested. My daughter is 7 and my son is 5. I was worried that they would not be able to understand or pay attention during scripture reading, but with this volume I have had no trouble keeping their attention. I must admit, my kids are not the only ones fascinated by the artwork! This is a great investment for all ages.

My wife and I just completed the reading of this wonderful eddition of the Book of Mormon. My wife first learned of this book a couple years ago at a Womens Day out event. We purchased the book and then let it gather dust until earlier this year. We study the book every night and have leaned much more insite into this volumn of schripture than we would have ever learrned by just reading the Book of Mormon alone. We highly recommed this to every LDS Family.
Wonderful book, but not well bound

I agree with the positive comments that everyone has given. Notice though, that a couple people said that they "have been through" more than one book, ie, the binding is weak and these books do not withstand the amount of handling they receive. Every family I know who uses this book with their families regularly thoroughly enjoys the book, but the binding has given out.

As a home that is constantly trying to add new ways to keep the Spirit alive and family motivated to read the Book Of Mormon, this book fits into our way of life well. I keep it on the Coffee table. It has started conversation from non-members as well as been a great reminder to turn off the TV and read on a daily basis. It has large print so it is easy to read for older adults as well as youth. The photos are bright and appealing to the eye. It has a wonderful thick cover that will wear well even with lots of use.

This Book of Mormon has changed our lives. Our family of eight had read the Book of Mormon once, then we bought this as our reward. The reward we received wasn't the beautiful book with definitions for all those words that your kids and you say, "what does that mean", but the enhancement of our nightly reading and understanding, and the desire that our family has to read it every night. I promise you ,it will help your families understanding and increase the knowledge your kids have of all the stories in the Book of Mormon. Best book I have ever bought in my life.A treasure in our home. Beautiful pictures, with titles before every six verses or so explaining who's talking to who and what to listen for. This was the key to making family scripture study work well in our family. Not only does our 2 and 8 year old enjoy using all the helps, pictures and large print, even mum and dad love it. Everybody who has seen our Book Of Mormon sitting on the kitchen table has gone and got one too. We live in Australia and have since purchased the Old and New Testament and Church History too.

We studied the BofM for the past 5 years as a family. Once my children could start reading we pulled this book out and used this book to study and read out of as a family, instead of using our quad or regular BofM. This book is the best book if you have young children, or teen children. This book is the best for all ages.

The questions and defintions at the bottom are great for actually studying the scriptures instead of just reading them. The illustrations are wonderful and add a lot for the younger children who are following along. I also like how the chapters are put in sections. If a chapter is too long then you have a resting or stopping place. It has been a wonderful addition to our family scripture study!

My younger children have enjoyed all of the brilliant illustrations in this book. My older kids have appreciated the additional information, quotes by prophets, etc... that are at the bottom of each page. As a parent, I like to contemplate the quotes and other information. Sometimes there are also thought provoking questions that accompany particular verses of study.
This is a perfect family edition.

I completely 100% recommend this edition of the book of mormon for any family with little ones. Our kids love looking at the pictures and the notations in it help my husband and I teach them. Just a good way to get kids involved in reading the book of mormon from an early age.

I have a very active 2 year old grandson who wanted to sit down with this book and just look at all the pictures. It became apparent that he was looking for all the pictures of Jesus. He found many. It was a heartwarming experience.
Poor binding

LOVE the book, but the binding started coming apart only months after we bought it. Maybe it was a weakness in only mine, but for how much we spent on it, I was a little disappointed. We can't stop reading out of it because of the great pictures and the help that it gives in helping my young children understand the scriptures!

This version has made it more fun for my children to look at, while I read it to them. They love the pictures! They are still too young to really understand the stories, but I am able to read it more, with them, and have the blessings of reading the scriptures, twice, daily! I hope to have all of my family and friends have the same book!
A life changing book for me and my sons

As a single mom who had fallen away from the church, it finally took the missionaries and some dedicated church members, nearly 2 years ago, to inspire me to start reading The Book of Mormon with my 2 young sons. It was a huge leap of faith for me because at that time in my life I wasn't sure I even believed in a God anymore. We started reading from the original blue Book of Mormon that the church puts out and committed to reading a chapter each night. Although I had read The Book of Mormon in the past, I found I now had the hardest time not only comprehending the teachings myself, because of the knowledge I had lost, but an even harder time trying to put it into terms in which my sons could understand. As a result, over time, we lost interest in our daily reading regimen. Last year, my new home teachers surprised us with "The Book of Mormon for Latter-Day Saint Families", and it has truly transformed our lives! Me and my sons get excited to follow along with the stories, look at the pictures and read the notes at the bottom of the page which help expand on the teachings, explaining things we never understood before. We can not only follow along SO much better, but we now actually comprehend the teachings and the history of the people! Anytime there are things we read which we aren't sure on the meaning of, we can look at the detailed footnotes and definitions at the bottom of the page which make it SO convenient, especially when dealing with the attention span of a 7 and 8 year old and trying to keep them attentive during reading. I am learning things I NEVER knew or understood before, even though I had been previously raised in the church. Our reading has gone so well with this new book we have finally made it to the book of Third Nephi which was perfect timing given the recent celebration of the Easter holiday, allowing us to read of Christ's resurrection, bringing a special new meaning of the true spirit of Easter for my broken little family. Where once I had lost my testimony, I have found it again stronger than ever! I have been able to help be an example to my sons and help teach them the principles in this book that will help them build foundations for good in their own lives. I wish every investigator of the church, convert or struggling member could have the chance to receive one of these books as I did...it WILL change their lives forever!
Wonderful Book, Not-So-Great Binding

Having this edition of the Book of Mormon has truly blessed our family as we read it every single night with our young children. It was given to us as a wedding gift, and we've only actively used it on a daily basis the last 3 years with our children. We hadn't even read it cover to cover and the binding had fallen apart, and a good chunk of pages fell out. I only wish we could have it fixed or replaced. I wish the binding was sewn instead of glued together. Other than that, the pictures quotes from General Authorities, and other learning tools are wonderful.
