Product Description

Harry Windover adores blonde, green-eyed Athena Lancaster, but alas, a penniless man like himself has no hope of winning a young noblewoman’s hand. To add insult to injury, Athena’s brother-in-law and guardian, the Duke of Kielder, has asked Harry to assist Athena in finding the gentleman of her dreams. But the lovesick Harry is cunning as well: as the weeks pass, he introduces Athena to suitors who are horrifically boring, alarmingly attached to their mothers, downright rude, astoundingly self-absorbed, and utterly ridiculous. Athena can’t comprehend why she is having so little success meeting eligible and acceptable gentlemen. Indeed, her circle of admirers couldn’t be less admirable — nothing like the loyal, gentle friend she’s found in Harry. But how long can Harry’s scheme be hidden before it is discovered? And what will Athena do when she uncovers Harry’s deception? Escape into a charming regency world in this delightfully romantic comedy of manners that will entertain you to the very last word.

Very fun read!!!

by Kayleen - reviewed on February 07, 2011

I love to read and I have to say this is the best fictional book I've read in some time! That is really saying something because I do do a lot of reading. I usually don't care much for romantic fiction, but this one was a delight to read. I love the wit and humor! What a fun book! I could picture it all in my mind as I read. I love it when a story is well written that way!

Enjoyed the Story

I really enjoyed the story and the writing was well done. I want Covenant Communications to reprint the story of Adam (Seeking Persephone) since I missed it back in 2008.

Perfect Romance

by Annette - reviewed on May 06, 2010

I'm a huge Sarah M. Eden fan. For anyone who loves humor, wit, and a great love story (not to mention the Regency era and books like Jane Austen's), this is an absolute must-read. I even have friends who *don't* like Jane Austen but adore this book! Can't wait for her next one.

Charming and witty, delightful regency romance at its best.

by Michele - reviewed on April 11, 2010

It took all of one sentence for me to be swept into this story, 1806 London, and all that time period entails. Author Sarah Eden has done a thorough job of transporting the reader back in time without burdening her with heavy detail. It was delightful to revisit some of the characters from Seeking Persephone and to become acquainted with new ones. Harry's efforts and antics are laugh out loud funny, and the romance is enough to make any Jane Austen fan sigh. I hope to see many more regencies by this author.

Light, Funny Regency Read

by Customer - reviewed on November 16, 2011

This book is the sequel to Seeking Persephone. Miss Athena Lancaster is having her first London season with her brother in law, the Duke of Kielder, as her guardian. Since he has no taste society, he enlists he close friend Mr. Harry Windover to help him. What makes the book entertaining and funny are the gentlemen Harry introduces her to. I would have liked a little more depth to the characters but overall it is a charming and clean read.
