Doctrine and Covenants Commentary, Vol. 1: More Precious than Gold

The Doctrine and Covenants is our book. It was written to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was revealed to us, not to another dispensation and then passed down as was the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and most of the Pearl of Great Price.

This book title More Precious Than Gold, represents the value the Doctrine and Covenants has to each member. The importance of the Doctrine and Covenants to the Church collectively and individually, is show in the statements of the Presidents of the Church. Such as Pres. Heber J. Grant: “I . . . bear my testimony . . . that if we will study the Doctrine and Covenants . . . get the Spirit of the Lord, and teach our children in their youth, that God will bless us. Our children will grow up with a love for the gospel.”
