Honest summary of what to expect when on a mission
Erin, UT - April 06, 2011
18 Months Sister Missionaries in the Latter Days is a very interesting collection of true stories edited by Melissa Baird Carpenter. I did find what appeared to me to be a few typos, but they didn’t distract from the incredible stories. The stories were not incredibly written or have incredible story lines but I still found it to be worth my time. The stories were straight from the heart of sister missionaries. They were honest and meaningful. Some were more well written than others, but they each taught an important lesson to be learned when considering going on a mission. I could also see members using many of the stories in talks. The lessons related to life as much as a mission. Some of the lessons include, revelation, love of god, and overcoming trials. I even highlighted a few parts incase I want to use them later. There was one sentence in particular I wanted to be sure to remember. It was from the third story titled “Being Sister Frandsen” by Rosalynde Frandsen…
