Elect Lady Bookmark

This bookmark features the picture by the artist Liz Lemon of Emma Smith. “'Thou art an elect lady, whom I have called.' (D&C 25:3) Emma Smith has probably been judged and misjudged more than any other individual in our church's history. It amazes me that even the mention of her name continues to stir such varied emotions. I often wish that we had more information about Emma and Joseph's life together, but when I think of how their lives are already open to such scrutiny, I am silently pleased for Emma that we do not.”
