The hit missionary movie the whole family can enjoy! Set in the scenic mountains of Austria, The Errand of Angels is the story of Sister Rachel Taylor (Erin Chambers), an enthusiastic new missionary who faces the challenges of struggling to learn a different language, eat foreign cuisine, and find common ground with a difficult companion. In the spirit of powerful missionary movies like The Other Side of Heaven and The Best Two Years comes this heartwarming tale of a missionary who learns that sometimes, the greatest change comes from within.

It's a keeper!

I really loved this movie, I didn't cry or get blown away but it just rang so true to the many ordinary everyday things that happen on a mission. From the great companions, to the difficult ones, to making best friends, to brilliant investigators and baptisms to challenging investigators, quirky ones and then the heartbreakers. As always Christian Vuissa has done a brilliant job. It's a keeper!
Not my favorite

Wasn't the best LDS movie. Story line was believable. Didn't care for the quirky costuming- bright tights? Sister missionaries don't dress that way.
Loved It!

In this movie, The Errand of Angels, Rachel Taylor is blessed to serve her mission in Austria. We follow Sister Taylor through her tribulations as she struggles to learn the language, find people who want to hear the gospel, eat some extremely disgusting things (not just eat...but have good manners by eating ALL the food on her plate), and struggle to serve with her cranky companion, Sister Keller. As she continues to feel anxious and depressed she is given a chance to go on a 1 week "split" with another sister missionary, Sister Young. It is while serving with Sister Young that she is given insight into her grumpy companion Sister Keller. In like form to President Hinckley's fathers advice while he was on his mission she was encouraged to forget about herself, go to work and get busy serving others, especially serving her companion. As she begins to lose herself in service, everything falls into place bringing her mission from trial to triumph. This was a heart-warming movie, I can't believe I only used 1 tissue and now I want to go on a mission -- to Austria. ;)
Wondeful

As a returned missionary I could relate to everything that happened in this movie. It brought back a flood of memories from my "Best Two Years". The movie was very well done. The acting and cinematography are excellent and the score by Rob Elliot is INCREDIBLE. This is a must see movie that can be watched over and over again.
Didn't like the ending - no spoilers here

I loved the music. Most of the acting, especially the lead, was well done. The scenery was spectacular. It is like the director knew where to start but not quite how to end. (sometimes the clothing was distracting from the story too) I really liked it but when it ended... I felt cheated out of the story and my time. "what? that's it? was my and my husbands reaction. They opened up stories that they didn't bring a closure to.
Bravo!!

I really, really enjoyed this movie. I loved the fact that it was true to life and told a wonderful story with out the who-har and slapstick of other 'LDS' movies. I will definitely be watching this again. The 13th article of faith comes to mind in seeking out those things which are praise worthy and of good report. For me this film falls into that category. Brilliant job peoples!!!
Dead on!

As a returned sister missionary, I am somewhat skeptical of missionary movies. I was thrilled as I watched this because it is one of the most accurate portrayals that I have seen. It was somewhat predictable but, this is because I had lived it. My heart ached for this Sister and it rejoiced as she found her way. I am excited to purchase this movie and share it with my daughters so that they can better understand what it was like to be a Sister Missionary.
AWESOME !!!

A wonderful movie that brought back so many special memories from my mission! The acting was very good and authentic and I loved the beautiful scenery shown from the wonderful country of Austria. I laughed and cried at the same time, it helped me realize how wonderful the gospel is and how important it is in my life. A great movie that I recommend to everyone!

The Errand of Angels is one of the best mission stories ever told. Even though I served in a completely different mission, I could relate to a lot of trials that were spiritual. The movie is up-lifting and moving. It is a must see movie.
This movie has amazing music!

One of the things I love in a movie is a good score. The score to this movie is amazing. There is a depth of emotion that brings a smile, tears, and laughter. You can't help but be touched by this movie and I give a lot of credit to the music! I was very touched by the music in this movie.
Really amazing

I was especially interested in this film after hearing my neighbors talk about it. They mentioned loving the music in particular--a beautiful rendition of the hymn. They're right! SO moving. A film you don't want to miss.
Best Missionary Film To Date!
by Customer - reviewed on December 01, 2008
I was hesitant to watch this film, because I feel like there hasn't been a movie about missionary work/life that is serious and accurate to the experience. Well, this one is. In my opinion, this is the best one out there. Filmed on location in Austria and put the original, beautiful music of Robert Allen Elliott, the film is grown up and doesn't feel the need to "poke fun at the experience" at every turn. The sisters aren't out raising the dead and baptizing thousands, they're doing what most missionaries do every day...try to love their companion and work as hard as they can to peach the gospel. This is an engaging human drama that deals with what many returned missionaries call the best years of their lives. I am proud of the film maker for treating this subject with the careful respect is deserves.
Absolutely Wunderbar!!

As a former mission president and having worked many years with hundreds of mission presidents and thousands of missionaries, this is by far the best movie ever produced to show in a funny, sensitive, and spiritually moving way the experiences that are universal to every missionary, elder or sister, serving anywhere in the world. Everyone considering a mission should see this to get a true picture of what a mission is like. Every missionary currently serving can immediately relate to the joys and challenges depicted, and every returned missionary will relive the best 18-24 months of their lives.
A REAL Missionary Movie

My wife and I saw this movie when it was at the theater and really enjoyed it. I was amazed to read that it was made in such a short period of time with such a small budget. Kudos to the cast and crew for doing so much with so little. Out of all the recent movies about missionaries, this movie resonated the most with our own mission experiences. We liked that the drama didn't come from a missionary struggling with his own testimony or lack of commitment. It came from a missionary wanting to be the best missionary she could be and discovering what that actually meant. As far as I'm concerned, LDS cinema is alive and well as long as smart, wonderful stories like this are told.
Wonderful movie

A wonderful movie with stirring music! Worth the time and money. The music will keep you humming all day long.
Better than other missionary films

I completely enjoyed this movie. I often recommend this movie to friends and have given it as a gift as well. I felt like it really captured what life is like as a young female missionary; and how it is to live in a foreign country with people you don't always understand. This is a drama about real people, with real feelings; no crazy unbelievable things or characters.
love it

Great LDS Movie

This movie is probably one of the best LDS movies ever made. It has you laughing, crying and sometimes both at the same time. It has such an incredible story to tell and it makes you stop and think about how you are too quick to judge others on what you think they should be. I would like to personally thank all those that were involved in making this movie. It definitely is one that I never get tired of watching!
My favorite movie in this day and time!!!

I am an individual who is preparing for my mission, and I feel that this movie has helped me to draw nearer to God in my times of distress and sadness. From this I know that I can put all my fear and confusion in his hands, and he will direct me in the way I should go. The truth of this movie is that his love is unconditional, and he will help you if you only ask...
OUTSTANDING
