Doesn't live up to earlier Liken videos

Our family has watched the earliest Liken videos many times, like the ones about Nephi & Laban, Ammon & Lamoni, David & Goliath, and the first Christmas. They have really memorable songs, humor that isn't over the top, and they're not overly long. This one is just too long and annoyingly silly. The actress playing Esther does a great job, but some of the supporting characters just detract from the story.

This series is very similar to the "Liken the Scriptures" dvds. Esther and the King has a wonderful message about fasting and prayer and standing up for what is right. The songs in this dvd are beautiful. Some fun and funny parts. Besides the Nephi & Laban dvd, this one is my kids favorite!
