The Gospel of Second Chances (Hardcover)
At one time or another, we all fumble and falter and make mistakes — and need a second chance.
Have you ever wished for a chance to try again and make things right? Do you know someone who has been blessed with a second chance and has, in turn, blessed the lives of others?
In The Gospel of Second Chances, best-selling author Lloyd D. Newell looks at what makes such second chances possible and what we can do to make a second chance successful. With his characteristic blend of inspiration, practicality, and gospel teaching, Brother Newell uses scriptural and contemporary examples to convey the hopeful message that our Savior Jesus Christ wants us to believe in second chances — for ourselves and others.
When you find yourself needing a second chance, or a third or fourth, The Gospel of Second Chances will give you the hope and encouragement you need to pick yourself up and try again. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ and with the help of his restored gospel, all of us have been given a second chance to change, repent, heal, make things right, and start afresh.

Everyone Can Use A 2nd Chance

This is such a readable little book, however it is bursting with a full measure of Gospel promise and comfort! Whether we think we are needful of a second chance or not, Lloyd Newell gently suggests that all of us do. Early in his book, Brother Newell tells us that he didn't just write this offering to those who may have been decades in darkness without the influence of the Gospel, and who have doubts about being able to come back. It is also for those of us who may have faltered last week by speaking unkind words about a brother or sister, or a Primary teacher, or a heavily burdened Bishop. Perhaps we allowed ourselves to view or read something inappropriate in the rush to be trendy. We all have weak moments in our human existence, big or small, and this book will help us get out of our own way and claim the second chance that Jesus Christ laid up in store for us at Gethsemane. Please don't pass up this book thinking it is only for those who are struggling to come back from sin and darkness. It is just as meaningful to those of us who take the bread and water every Sunday, and covenant once again to be better Saints in the week to come.
