Hard Times

Focusing strongly on the class conflict of Victorian England, this book depicts the social injustices that plagued the Industrial Revolution. Set in a fictitious Northern English mill-town, the story follows the Gradgrind and Bounderby families through their challenges and the lessons they learn the importance of logic as well as emotion in order to live a balanced life.
