The place and reason for a chosen people cannot be understood except in the context of the plan of salvation. This book provides that context. It tells of ancient Israel and of latter-day Israel, and the rest of the Lord's chosen people from the beginning of time, and even before, and then on to Israel's divine destiny in the eternities to come. It tells of the divinely appointed mission of latter day Israel, namely to gather Israel and bring the plan of salvation and the means of salvation to all the rest of God's children, the Gentiles.

Excellent advanced doctrinal study

Ask most members of the LDS church why we are considered a covenant people and they will say "because we make covenants." But 3rd Nephi 16:11-12 expands this notion wherein the Savior speaks of his covenant people who are yet to receive the gospel. Israel the Lord's Chosen People gives every person a deeper understanding of their covenants, their divine heritage and destiny, a knowledge of each person's great worth in the eyes of God, and each person's individual role in the great plan of life. Not only does Dellas Lee give an excellent explanation of the subject matter, but gives each reader a life-changing vision of their mortal mission. Definitely on my "re-read often" list. Extremely uplifting.
