Three years ago, Amanda made the biggest mistake of her life, she let her friends persuade her to reject the guy she loved. They were convinced he was a loser and wasn't good enough for her.
Now Gregory's back in Farmington . . . taller, stronger, hotter than ever, and worth millions. Those gorgeous girls who snubbed him before are now falling at his feet, and he's enjoying every moment of it.
Can he see past the pain Amanda caused him and give her a second chance? Or will she forever regret losing the only guy who truly loved her?

Fun, modern-day re-telling of a classic

I love this Jane Austen series!!! The modern re-telling of Persuasion was so much fun to read. The characters are great, as well as the twists. The only thing for me is I was trying to figure out how these characters fit in with the characters from the previous two novels--and they did! Amanda went along with what her friends wanted her to do three years early and broke her crush's heart. Gregory moved away, but when his family moves back to town and buys Amanda's house (they had to sell, due to the economy), those old feelings come rushing back. Gregory has changed and has seemed to move on. Can Amanda get over him and do the same? I thought this was a cute, fluffy, clean teen read and it was a lot of fun. I can't wait for the next two books to come out.

This modern, young, fun adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion is absolutely brilliant. I laughed and cried and chewed my nails wondering if Amanda would really be with Gregory again and if everything would turn out right! Read it! You won't regret it!
The third is as good as the first.

I got this book for Christmas and couldn't put it down. I finished it in a day. Gregory was so dreamy, and I loved him with Amanda. Definitely a must read book, and cannot wait for the rest of the series! Just as good as the first two, Pride and Popularity, and Northanger Alibi.

Fun, clean writing and characters you can root for. I didn't like this one *quite* as much as the other books by Jenni James that I've read (and loved), and I'm not sure why. It just didn't make me as giddy over their love. Maybe because their past has jaded it somewhat? I dunno. It's still super cute though and I enjoyed reading it. I also liked seeing how all the characters from previous books all connected with this story.
