Upbeat & Fun!

by Lisa - reviewed on August 16, 2006

Great lively beats on the rocky numbers and beautiful orchestral on the ballads all backing up Frogley's powerful vocal chords which could hold thier own against any mainstream popular artist. Some of my favorites: 'Peacegiver' is an upbeat rock beat reminicent of KT Tunstall that gets you jumping as much for the beat as for the joy of the songs message. 'Never' is a beautiful ballad reflecting her love for her Savior as well as her acknowledgement of His love for her. 'Sweet Love' is a great song of family, life & His love set to a fun reggae beat with Alex Boye excellently providing the reggae background. I liked 'I came to win' simply for its strong statement to the opposing forces.

I have been a huge fan of Jenny´s for years and have waited for her own CD for a long time. It was worth the wait. This is a great CD. It´s got some excellent pop with some terrific ballads with the feeling and spirit that only Jenny can give. Jenny has an uncomparable voice. This CD shows off her abilities both as a singer, a master arranger and a terrific writer. Jenny is the real deal!!

Sugar sweet pop music

by Customer - reviewed on May 22, 2006

Sounds like an LDS Britney Spears. Nice lyrics that just don't go with the sticky sugary sweet pop music.

AWESOME POP MUSIC

by Customer - reviewed on January 04, 2006

Jenny has an AMAZING voice. Wow. I can't say enough about that. I can't think of a better voice in LDS contemporary music. I've been waiting for this CD for years! I'm also impressed that she wrote some of the songs here. , This is a solid POP album, with inspirational lyrics. My 12-year old daughter loves it and so do I. Jenny has done some slower EFY songs that sound 'churchy'. This is not what this CD is, although it has some ballads on it. I don't play it on Sundays! I have my Mormon Tabernacle Choir for that. But during the week, this CD is great.

Excellence in LDS Music Recording

by Devin - reviewed on March 07, 2006

Jenny's powerfully stylistic and heartfelt voice has graced many other LDS albums including numerous EFY songs. I've been waiting for the advent of Jenny's first solo album, and am thrilled with its quality. Jenny has found the music and orchestration to match her unique vocal sound. This CD will undoubtedly inspire the LDS recording market to pursue excellence! Her lyrics are stirring. The variety of music genre on the CD makes it a family favorite. Thanks Jenny!!

What a lift!

by Naiah - reviewed on November 13, 2006

What a relief to have something upbeat and contemporary to let me dance through my day without sacrificing the presence of the Spirit! , Her vocals make me feel like I have wings. I was not disappointed upon hearing her live at TOFW. She's got the goods, no doubt. Her voice is just as larger-than-life in person as it is in the studio. , The best tracks on the album are undoubtedly those written by Jenny, herself. 'It's Real' and 'Peacegiver' represent a level of infectious pop genius that will seep in and keep you dancing long after the cd has stopped spinning. , Then there's the desperately needed, tender reminder in 'Slow Down' where she pulls back the power of her voice a little to give it a more sympathetic, intimate feel, like a chat on the couch with a good friend who can speak peace to your heart when you get a little too caught up in the world. , Really, I could say something great regarding just about every song on the album; it's that good. On the whole, it's upbeat, optomistic, and energizing. , Thank-you, JJF for such a great album. I can't wait for the next one!!

Jenny has raised the bar with her knock-your-socks-off, LDS-ready entertainment

by Derek - reviewed on December 18, 2007

I'm a drummer. I played a gig with Jenny at Deer Valley several years ago. We played the first tune and I thought, 'Wow! You're not from around here, are ya?' In musician lingo, Jenny grooves, she lays it down. I'm partial to jazz, gospel and soul. A singer that can use her voice like the best horn players, moving almost effortlessly up and down the scale, is a singer to listen to. To me, this album marks a new level of professional, knock-your-socks-off LDS entertainment. The bar is raised. And the lyrics are as clean and uplifting as any thinking Christian should allow. Yet, it grooves as well (and better) as any of the best pop and rock idols available today. Way to go, Jenny! When do we get the next one?
