Well crafted spiritual guide to Kirtland history.
Jeanne, - October 19, 2004
After reading Karl Anderson's book about Joseph Smith and Kirtland I was able to understand how crucial this time was in the formation of church it's doctrine and policy. The spiritual outpouring of this era are so magnificent and very well captured and explained in this book. It is a rich, spititually guided time in the early church. I have used stories and quotes from this book in several lesson and plan to use it again as a supplement to my research in teaching The Doctrine & Covenants in 2005.
