Kristine Wardle Frederickson has a passion for studying history and biographies that began as a young girl. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, she and her husband, Reid, returned to California and started a family that grew to include six children.
When a job opportunity returned the family to Utah, Kris returned to school, earning a master’s degree in history from BYU and a PhD in Modern European history from the University of Utah. She has taught more than twenty-two university courses in the history, religion, honor’s, and women’s studies departments at BYU and Utah Valley University.
Kristine writes an online column for Deseret News, Mormon Times, and has published in magazines and contributed to a number of book projects. She loves being with her family, traveling, sports, chocolate, LDS history, and women’s history.
