I just got this book and love it. I keep looking through the pictures trying to decide whether to make the Grasshopper Cheesecake or the Chocolate Decadence for the Sunday.
Problem with recipe

I gave LION HOUSE CAKES AND CUPCAKES (2011) to my 93-year-old aunt in California. She is a gourmet cook, and very sharp and young for her age! She wanted to make the Lemon Bundt Cake on page 64 for her daughter's special birthday dinner. She followed the directions carefully. She prepared the batter and separately beat the egg whites. However, the "batter" mixture was like a big lump of cookie dough! It was not possible to fold in the egg whites. She had to make another cake. Please tell us what was missing from the recipe.
