Little Touch and Hear: Cars: Race Day

Cars: Race Day—an interactive touch-and-feel book from the Play-A-Sound series—lines up Lightning McQueen against Otto von Fastenbottom on Race Day. Preschoolers enjoy feeling different textures on each page and pressing buttons to hear racecar sounds as they rev and zoom their way through this adventure based on the Disney movie Cars.

Both readers and pre-readers can “drive” this story: Illustrated icons in the text match five big, bright buttons on the panel at the side of the book. As children follow the story, they can find the matching buttons and press them to hear the speedway sounds. Each page features a different texture for curious fingers to feel and explore.

Children press the buttons to hear five exciting sounds:

• Cars zooming down the track
• Brakes screeching and metal crashing
• Start-of-race countdown…and they’re off!
