As I sat there trying to soothe my ten-year-old son — hurting for him, and yet savoring the feeling of being there for him — I couldn't help but wonder if maybe sometimes God feels that way. He watches us. He sees us learning and growing, functioning independently and feeling like we've got everything under control. Then something happens — something painful — and with tears running down our cheeks we reach out to Him. "Oh, God," we cry, "it hurts!" At such times, I can almost feel Him gathering us in His arms, comforting us. Loving us. And helping us through it. Not because He's God, but because He's our parent, and we're His babies.
Everyone has days when things just don't go as planned and life's burdens feel heavier than usual. With more than fifty uplifting true stories, readers will feel embraced by the Spirit and encouraged to be prayerful, forgiving, and appreciative.

A wonderful gift
Brent, - March 19, 2007
I was given this book as a gift and the next day I spent my morning train ride with reading it. By the end of the ride I felt uplifted and ready to face my day. I laughed, cried and pondered as I read the short stories. I have since bought several more copies to give away. I would recommend that everyone buy a copy for themselves AND one to give to someone else. I promise they will thank you for it.
