About the Author
With 12 children between them, it’s amazing that Whitney Permann, Brooke Stone, and Soni Muller have time for anything other than runny noses, sock hunts, and prying suckers off the van floor. But music has been a part of each of their lives since childhood, and is now a strong presence in their homes. The three friends met while singing in the Jenny Phillips Choir and there found a common love for tight harmonies and sharing the gospel through song. Over the past four years, Mercy River has traveled all over the United States and Canada as a highly sought after ensemble, performing for thousands of people while testifying of the Savior. Each member of the group brings several years of experience performing, writing, and directing hundreds of firesides and concerts—as well as recording on dozens of inspirational albums. Their self-titled debut album was released in May 2008, and their popular second album, “Beautiful Dawn,” was released in March of 2010.
Whitney resides in Spanish Fork and loves buttery popcorn. Soni lives in Farmington and loves her bed. Brooke lives in Layton and loves her Kitchenaid.

So Jenny Phillips Brand changes her name to Mercy River, and we have a new album? This sounds just like the previous 10 albums that we have heard by this producer/writer, and it has the same...nice soft non-offending arrangements, this makes a perfect stocking stuffer for my grandmother; too bad it is intended to be the 'new teen sensation'. Give me my Jericho Road back!!!

I LOVE Mercy River. The Album is great, and I think Jenny Phillips did something really different. I think the sound is great, the girls are georgous, the music is uplifting, and it all seems to shine through their voices!

I saw the Mercy River girl's Time Out performance, and I was just blown away. Each one of the girl's voices is beautiful. Their music is both joyful and peaceful. You can't get music with this kind of spirit and message with other Celtic kind of music. These girls are doing something wonderful with their talents! Thank you Mercy River for giving us this CD.

Thank you Mercy River! My heart is lifted and refreshed by your songs! Your music makes me feel happy and hopeful. I can listen to your songs and apply them to whatever is happening in my life that day and know that I CAN DO IT! What an inspiration to everyone trying to live a good life. I bought a CD for each of my kids. Everyone needs to hear beautiful things about themselves.

I have always been VERY uplifted by Jenny Phillips music. I work with troubled youth and have ALWAYS been able to find just the right song to share with them to lift their spirits. Mercy River has a beautiful sound that has already touched my heart. Thank you for bringing music out that lifts and helps strengthen all of us.

I was at Time Out For Women this past weekend and absolutely LOVED Mercy River. Their sound was so new and refreshing, it just blew me away. I wanted to buy their CD, but by the time I went to buy it they were all sold out. I am going to be first in line when it comes out in April.

I found many of their songs to be very uplifting, inspirational, relaxing, and also up-beat. The Celtic kick adds a fresh twist on religious music that I found refreshing without being the same old 'gospel-pop' other artists are attempting. I would recommend this CD to every YW out there as well as any adult looking for a fresh sound!

Great voices + great harmonies = GREAT MUSIC!! The more I listen, the more I like this CD. The words and lyrics are very soothing and uplifting. I recommend this to all ages.

I got an email asking me to review this CD, and I was really not impressed. This album is really not unique, it sounds just like Felicia Sorensen or One Clear Voice, but not as good in quality and the songs are not as fun. , Nothing new or exciting here it is kind of boring.
Pure sound, exciting presentation and inspiring messages. Awesome!!!

I was visitng family in Idaho and was given a copy of the Mercy River CD. I listened to it over and over again for 450 miles. These girls are special!! I hope they continue to produce and perform. Their sound is pure, the presentation is exciting and the message is inspiring. Oh yeah... they are also gorgeous!! Way to go. I believe they have hit a homerun. I am hooked, keep it going Mercy River, we need more music like this.

There is nothing great about this CD. Just another LDS artist. A lot of them sound the same. I was not surprised to find out Jenny Phillips had a hand it. It all sounds the same. From the first to the last, you wouldn't even know you were listening to different songs. It isn't a bad CD, but if you ever bought a Jenny Phillips CD, save yourself the money. They all sound the same

I first heard Mercy River at TOFW. I bought their CD, and have had to have it with me ever since. It's in my truck, on my computer, and on my MP3! I just can't get enough of this CD. I would recommend it for anyone that loves music! I just can't wait for their next one to come out. I will definitely get it, too!

I bought two copies in SLC at Deseret Book of another lady's recommendation. She was right it is awesome. We are using two of the songs for our Young Women's New Beginnings night. Wish they had sheet music, we are having to sing it acapella. This CD warms my heart everytime I listen to it, I've recommended it to several people. Hope they make more CD's!
