About the Author
Wendie L. Edwards began writing in college when her first paid work was published by Brigham Young University. Graduating Cum Laude from the Nursing program with a Bachelors degree, she entered the field of Intensive Care Nursing as a Registered Nurse. After eight years, she is now a CCRN and an Education Nurse Specialist in the American Fork Intensive Care Unit.
In the past, she has taught for the Church Educational System as an early morning Seminary Teacher and currently is a guest speaker at many adult and youth LDS functions.
Combining religion, science, medicine and the human experience in writing has been a love of hers since the very beginning. She was always drawn to science fiction stories with a religious theme. It is from this love that the Millennial Glory Series has evolved. It is a work she feels privileged as well as driven to create. She plans to keep writing until the end of days has been fully explored and the Saints have inherited their rightful place as heirs of God’s kingdom!
She and her husband Ted are the parents of nine children, seven sons and two daughters and reside in Provo Utah.

What a book! Every LDS family must read this book. Wendie Edwards has created a story that combines the reality of LDS living with future struggles we will all have to face. I believe that this book captured a feeling of what we can expect as well as send a wake-up call to become more prepared. I couldn't put this book down, and can't wait to read future books from this author. , HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 5 STARS

While ALL the books I get from Deseret Book are great, this is the first book I have felt compelled to write a review for. I recommend it to everyone! Not only does it engulf your interest immediately, it holds your interest without a single slow spot. It is a FANTASTIC read and a absolute motivater as to one's OWN personal readiness for what is to come in fulfillment of prophecy. I am so excited to read the next book in the series and thank Wendie for sharing her amazing gift of writing with us in her book 'Hidden Light'!
Entertaining, but amaturish

This book was generally enjoyable, but it was very obvious throughout the book that the author lacked experience. The plot was based on an interesting premise and has potential, but the writing often distracted from this. The characters had certain aspects that were fleshed out, and other aspects that were totally lacking. Many plot points and facts were presented through long monologues, rather than in a more natural way. There were several sections that read like a cheap romance novel. For instance, when we are introduced to Corrynne's husband (Bo) we are told nothing about his height, weight or hair color, but she does point out his "thick, muscled hand" and "the strength of his arms". I also found her choice of names amusing. The children in the book (that I remember) are named Braun, Roc, Strykker, Dane, Carea, Brea and Jax. I do plan on continuing the series, but I hope that the author improves with experience.
