The Mormons

Organized by the church's threefold mission (proclaim the gospel, perfect the saints, and redeem the dead), The Mormons includes over 21 first person interviews with ordinary church members and 98 photographs. The forward is written by Robert Millet, former dean of the BYU Department of Religion.

Mark Hedengren, a sensitive and thoughtful photographer, has captured beautifully these three dimensions of LDS religiosity, three aspects of a people engaged in the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ. Hedengren has managed to bring to life and personality to what still remains a mystery to many.
