My Baptism

My Baptism

Today on my baptism day
I promise Jesus Christ
That I will always try to do
The things I know are right.

And I’ll remember Him each day
Wherever I may be
I feel His love and know that He
Is watching over me.

And though temptations come my way
I need not be afraid,
For He has given me a gift
To guide me every day.

The Holy Ghost, so quietly,
Will whisper thoughts to me
And help me know what I must do
To follow faithfully.

I want to love and serve the Lord
With all my heart and might,
For now I am a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ.
