Mormon Tabernacle organists John Longhurst, Clay Christiansen, and Richard Elliot perform 23 hymn-based compositions showcasing the majestic Conference Center pipe organ. The impressive organ is a symbol of the importance Latter-day Saints place on worshiping God through music. Built over a three-year period by Schoenstien & Co., the organ features a five-manual console that controls the 7,708 pipes of its 130 ranks, spread across seven divisions. In this inaugural solo recording, familiar hymn tunes such as "We Thank Thee, O God for a Prophet," "I Need Thee Every Hour," and "Love at Home" combine with the regal strains of "Jehovah, Lord of Heaven and Earth" and "Now Thank We All Our God" to provide a wide range of religious expression and spiritually moving experience.

First of all, Richard Elliot's performances make this recording great. I personally love the fresh take on the classics, but I also think the album featured a few too many lesser-known pieces.
