This item is beautiful but very heavy. Will you bring back the vials with the removeable, fillable, inserts? That is really what I was looking for when I bought this one as a gift.

I've had it for almost a year and it's held up to regular wear and tear on a key chain with all my other keys. I love it, especially the ability to see where the oil level is. With traditional vials (without windows), I always needed to pour it before finding out how much oil was left, thereby wasting what little oil was left.

I like the way you can see how much you have left, but like everyone else, it breaks easily and does leave a huge mess!

Im leaving for my mission in Tempe,Arizona in December. So i ordered this to clip onto my backpack. Its a beautiful peice and it seems very sturdy. I also love the window which lets you see how much oil is left.

Loved it, but breaks very easily

We got this vial for my husband, because he loved being able to see the level of the oil easily. However, the first day of having it, he dropped his keys as he was taking it out of his pocket, probably no more than 4 feet. The glass of the windows shattered, rendering the vial unusable. We purchased a replacement of the same style, thinking that he just needed to be more careful. He had this one for three days before he took it out of his pocket and found a crack in the glass of the window, just from standard wear-and-tear of having the keys in the pocket. The vial is a lovely one, and he really liked it, but the glass of it is just too fragile for day to day use. I would recommend it for people not planning to keep it with their keys, but if you plan to carry it around for regular use, it'll most likely break on you.

I'm on here because I noticed that my window broke and I need a new one. This looks like it is the exact same one I am replacing that I bought 8 years ago. Can't argue with that kind of life time combined with the option to see the oil level.
Breaks Easily

I agree with other reviews where the vial broke easily. I loved the look of the vial and the ability to monitor the oil level. Had it attached to my keys which are not many for about a year. Reached in my pocket for my keys and found little pieces of glass. The jacket is a winter coat and luckily no stain. I'll get the solid vial and just keep checking it.
