I read Please Pass the Scriptures and immediately appreciated the insights John Hilton III offers for improving anyone's scripture study. As a result, I decided to start using the book and the exercises at the end for Family Home Evening lessons. Thanks, John, for a timely and inspiring book.

Scriptures for all ages

by daniel - reviewed on August 17, 2007

So I am a big John Hilton fan--he speaks to me and all age groups--its about time a youth writing tackles adult-level challenges, such as how to read the scriptures. I figure that an 8-year old can gain from this along with a 70-year-old Bishop. The book has excellent advice, inspirational examples, and keys to success. My favorite part was the chapter on answers--I had forgotten the principle of asking any question in life, and then praying, and finding it in scriptures. John Hilton connects with me on how to get the most out of scriptures. I recommend it to anyone that can read.

A must have

by Nadja - reviewed on November 19, 2008

My husband bought this for my birthday when we were on holiday in the states. I joined the Church 6 years ago aged 20, and have always found consistent and meaningful scripture study difficult - this book was just what I needed. Don't dismiss this as another book for youth - everyone could learn from this great guide to improving scripture study. I also love all the fantastic quotes throughout.

by Skyler - reviewed on August 24, 2007

This book has really changed my scripture study. My dad gave it to me and my scripture study has totally changed. The chapter on 'go pro' taught me to start studying for a certain amount of time each day and I've been learning SO MUCH!

Great for seminary students and teachers

by Lorri - reviewed on September 06, 2007

I heard Brother Hilton speak at Education Week and bought this book because I thought it would help me teach seminary. There are lots of ideas that can be used in the classroom, and I've also learned a lot about how to gain more from my scripture study. There are also visual aids throughout the book that makes it more enjoyable to read. This is a great book!
