This movie is a MUST SEE!!! As a mother of Reutrned Missionaries it made me laugh out loud. Every family of missionaries should see this. It is GREAT when we can laugh at ourselves!

It doesn't even deserve one star.Since when can people laugh over somebody elses misfortune and disappointments.Tell me what is so funny about poor communication? Tell me what is so funny about being dump by a girlfriend or boyfriend? What is so funny about being promise a job and then not get it. What is so funny about being thrown in jail for something you didn't do, and what is so funny that your parents and siblings don't believe you or trust you enough that you would never do something like that. Yes, there will be temptations when the missionaries return, but I know that the Lord would never let them down like people seemed to do. The actors were great, but the theme was very bad. I don't want such a show in my home. A very sad story indeed.

Our whole family loved the RM. Keep in mind, they have taken some stereotypes found in the Church to the extreme, I especially loved the Relief Society/Elder's Quorum scene. If you take it for what it's worth, a satirical look at LDS life, you will have a great time. The point we were left with was that just because a young man serves a mission, he may not be blessed in the way he thinks he should. Isn't that true of all of us?
A Great Movie

We watched this movie as a family and I am happy to report that my children loved it and laughed themselves silly. I think that it is great that we can sit back and laugh at ourselves!
I needed Closed captioning on the DVD to completely understand the movie, (which it didn't have), but my husband didn't laugh as much as he did at the Singles Ward.

As a hearing impaired person, the DVD did not come with subtitles so I was a little frustrated at following the story. It was not as good as the Singles Ward, but it was a bit funny (as most as I could understand it!). I wouldn't have paid almost $30 for a movie I couldn't 'read' if I knew it didn't come with CC or subtitles. ) I judged the movie by how much my husband laughed (which wasn't that much . . and he loves a good comedy)

Great movie! Very funny and Kirby Heyborne is a funny guy. So when he returns home from his mission, he thinks that he's getting married, he's getting his old job back, and he's going to BYU. But things don't turn out the way he thought. His girlfriend is getting married to someone else, he didn't get his old job back, and he didn't get in to BYU. So overall it was hilarious!

Excellent movie! I just loved this movie and the music was awesome!! (I need to get the CD now ) ). I love how it shows things can turn around if you have faith and stick with the gospel. You can't place too much stock in how things 'should' be. Sometimes you have to work for it. Lots of good clean fun for the family with good life lessons.

I absolutely love this movie, it was so funny everyone I have ever talked to aboutit loved it! and in all the funnyness in it it also has a spiritual side to it, I would say its an overall hit.

I have to say that I was disappointed by this movie. I love Single's Ward and I "assumed" this would be as good or better. What amazed me was the acting was way over done and alot of this cast worked on Single's Ward and they did great on that movie. I did like the movie in general but there was a lot of things I did not like that they did to the main character.

Once in a while a great film such as the RM comes along that is perfect for the whole family. This movie generously pokes fun at the humorous side of LDS culture and mixes in a great story line that will have you laughing time after time. The acting may lack in some areas, but there is some strong acting by the main character Kirby Heybourne and the engaging, hilarious personalities of the other characters carry the film forward splendidly. I suggest this movie to anyone who is willing to laugh at the funny side of coming home from a mission.
