I REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK!

What a FUN concept to bring in modern-day Facebook and texting into an age-old classical fairytale :) This book is filled with romance, adventure, mystery and I am adding humor... My favorite part is when Fane is trying to figure out what name the initial RG comes from...And not seeing a picture of her he asks... "Are you hot?" Rapunzel is baffled and wonders how he can figure out her name by the temperature of the room she is in... Yes...Rapunzel is so sheltered and Fab Fane has to explain EVERYTHING to her... BUT Rapuzel is a quick learner :) I really, really, really loved this book!
A Must Read!

Rapunzel Untangled is set in the modern world, with all our fabulous modern conveniences. But Rapunzel doesn't know about most of them because she's lived in a tower her whole life. She is one sick girl and can't go near anyone with germs or she'll die a horrible death. And so her mom keeps her locked up inside the spooky Gothel Mansion. Oh, and she still has this crazy long, beautiful hair that most women would kill for. The one modern convenience she does have is a computer so she can get her homework done. While her mom's away she stumbles upon Facebook and like any other normal teen she's soon stalking it. She comes across a handsome boy named Fane and starts up a conversation. This goes on for some time until they become fast friends. Because of this friendship, Rapunzel starts questioning everything around her and taking many risks to find out who she really is. And this is where the fairytale takes a dark and twisted turn. I won't say more except for this book is really good. Get your copy today. Serious. Right now.

I have to admit, Rapunzel happens to be one of my very favorite fairy tales, and Cindy C. Bennett's re-telling is just as good. I loved this book. I thought the characters were a perfect blend of wit and charm. The plot moved along at a great pace, and those who love a sweet story won't be disappointed. Very well done!

Cindy Bennett takes one of my favorite fairy tales and spins it into a modern story that really works. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and think the cover is stunning. Perfect for the book.
Such a great fun read!

I received a copy of this book from Cindy Bennett a while back to do an endorsement for the back cover. I really didn't know what to expect when I picked it up. I knew it was a retelling of a fairytale and I knew I sure love the Rapunzel story so I figured it would be a light fun read and an overall enjoyable experience. Uh, hello? Complete understatement! This book was fabulous. I don't know what I expected but it totally went above and beyond my expectations. It was a modern retelling of the Rapunzel story and it seems like that wouldn't really throw you for a loop but there are so many twists and turns in this book that I wasn't expecting. It had romance (which I'm a sucker for), adventure, humor, and suspense. It was like reading the best of fifteen different genres all rolled into one perfect little Young Adult package! The characters were sweet and endearing, Rapunzel was charming and easy to like, and I may or may not have a slight crush on Fane now. Just don't tell anyone. I loved Cindy's use of technology to really update this fairytale. It made it very different from any "typical fairytale retelling". It was fresh and very original. I give this book five stars! It's totally worth the read and you'll fall in love with the characters straight away!
For anyone who loves a good fairy-tale...

“Rapunzel Untangled” is everything you’d want from a modern fairy-tale retelling: smart, funny, romantic, and true to the spirit of the original story. Ms. Bennett has created a strong heroine that you’ll fall in love with right from the first page, and her dashing hero is absolutely charming. Received an ARC copy from Cindy, and absolutely fell in love with Rapunzel. The plot is intriguing, suspenseful, and sometimes dark, but interspersed with laugh-out-loud humor and heartwarming moments that make this a great read for anyone who loves a good fairy-tale. You won’t want to stop reading until you reach the last paragraph—and then you’ll slow down, because you won’t want the story to end.
Great fun read

I’ll confess right off, I’ m a Bennett groupie. The woman is a wordsmith of the utmost. I have little doubt she could make scrubbing toilets sound like great fun, (think Tom Sawyer). Rapunzel is captivating from page one. This Rapunzel is held in a tower by her evil (aka diluted) “mother.” I LOVED the modern elements brought into this age old story. Rapunzel’s adventures on Facebook are enchanting. Her innocents is both charming and endearing. She meets an enjoyable young man, a bit of an adventurist named Fane. He introduces Rapunzel to the real world without taking advantage of her. He’s also quite the charmer. I confess, I have a little bit of a book crush on the guy…if only I was younger…and a character in a book…sigh. Gothel, Rapunzel’s “mother,” is truly hate worthy. I didn’t care for her one wit. Not because the character was poorly written, quite the contrary, she’s masterfully written, which testifies again to Ms. Bennett’s talent. She writes one creepo lady in this one! Rapunzel Untangled is the fun, exciting, and sometimes frightening adventure of 17-year-old Rapunzel, the sleeping beauty who awakens and discovers the truth about her life. I recommend this novel to old and young alike, though I would point out that you should never hook up with a stranger off the internet unless your name is Rapunzel and his is Fane ;} I give Rapunzel Untangled 5 thumbs up.

Rapunzel Untangled will change everything you ever thought you knew about the flaxen haired girl trapped in her tower. Exciting and fresh, I was hooked right from the get go.
