Great insight of Old Testament Women

I enjoyed much reading about Rebekah's personality in the beginning of the book. The culture and life of Rebekah as a young woman.
I didn't like much how Jacob reacted towards Rebekah when they first met because I don't think he would be so sure of himself and so elaborated in words after waiting 40 years to get married. I think that there was mystery, a time for them just to gaze eye to eye and study each other. a time for them to mumble a few nervous words. In the book they saw each other and were so natural and got married right away - I don't think it was that way. I didn't like how much she anticipated getting married and how fast-same day-it happened.
I think that it lacked some originality toward that time and culture in the dialogue between Abraham and Rebekah and I Isaac. I believe the dialogs had a lot of taste of our present time and American culture. But I really enjoyed the first part of the book and it sure instigated in my soul in search of all the…
