Red Lights, Green Lights, and Personal Revelation

In this fireside presentation, Brad Wilcox teaches LDS youth that personal revelation requires personal effort. When used righteously, the promptings from the Holy Ghost can be like a spiritual traffic light that is red or green. He quotes Elder Dallin H. Oaks to emphasize, 'The revelation that restrains is one of the most common forms of revelation. . . . If we are keeping the commandments of God and living in tune with His Spirit, a restraining force will steer us away from things we should not do.' Brother Wilcox also teaches that these spiritual communications from our Heavenly Father show us that He is interested and involved in the lives of his children on earth.
