Story Behind the Art
Too often we are like the two
who walked along the road
We think that we are all alone
With none to share the load.
We do not see our loving friend
Beside us on our way
Carrying us through life's dark nights
Into a brighter day.
So as we walk our own roads to
Emmaus may we see
That we will never be alone
Unless we choose to be.

When my Wife saw this months Deseret Book Sales Catalog. She first opened to the Art and Home section. At the top of the page, she saw the Painting of "Road to Emmaus" by Liz Lemon Swindle. She started to cry, she had thought she had seen this before, but in the painting it was (Her and I) walking with Jesus Christ. Because of her stroke and my Disability, its as if Jesus walks with US through out our Life. Helping and pushing us along when thing get tough. It is now hanging in our bedroom, and as we walk out of our room, it reminds us that Jesus Christ is with us through Good times and Bad.
