The Carson City Kid Roy Rogers, posing as The Carson City Kid, is determined to exact vengeance on his brother's killer, Morgan Reynolds. Determined to track Reynolds down, the Kid is stopping stagecoaches and sifting through the mail for letters addressed to the killer. This earns him a reputation as a stagecoach hold-up artist even though he steals nothing. This misconception is reinforced by the fact that his sidekick, Laramie, is a notorious half-breed outlaw.

The Cowboy and the Senorita Roy and sidekick Big Boy are wannabe prospectors, who get fired from their cafe job after getting in trouble with a customer.
