“Everywhere I go,” writes Elaine S. Dalton, “it seems that I see young women whose eyes shine with the light of the Spirit. These young women know that they are daughters of our Heavenly Father. Their inner goodness radiates in their eyes and in their faces. They shine! And yet, they don’t even realize that others notice.”
In Shine! Sister Dalton lets young women know that their choices matter. Her encouraging counsel, paired with beautiful images, will help young women recognize and live up to their divine potential and destiny.

Sister Dalton wrote this book specifically for the young women of the church. But, we can all learn from the lessons she presents. My favorite story in the book: When her daughter, Emi,was a little girl Sister Dalton would help her get ready for church by combing her hair and putting her in a pretty dress. Then Emi would say, "Let's put on our shiny." With this Sister Dalton would get her jar of clear cosmetics and apply it to Emi's cheeks and lips giving her a shiny glow. As we follow the principles in this book we will all glow with the spirit of the Lord. In essence we can all put our shiny-on!"
