Spencer J. Condie
Elder Spencer J. Condie was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 1989 and to the First Quorum of the Seventy in May 1992. As a general authority, he has served in area presidencies in Europe and North America. He currently serves in the presidency of the North America Northeast Area.
Elder Condie received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree from the University of Utah. He earned a doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh with a specialization in medical sociology and biostatics. In 1969 he joined the faculty of Brigham Young University, where he was named Honors Professor of the Year and received the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Teaching Award.
Elder Condie and his wife, Dorothea, are the parents of five children.
