And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting joy. (D&C 45:71)

It has been a remarkable year since the Saints arrived in Independence, Missouri to establish New Jerusalem. Now it has become a rapidly growing city as Saints from around the world come to Zion. It is a time of relative peace, but there are still several important events that must take place before the Second Coming.

Join the members of the North, Dalton and Brown families as they participate in such memorable events as the dedication of the New Jerusalem Temple, and the discovery and return of the Ten Lost Tribes.

As the Saints devise a plan to regain Salt Lake City from the evil leader Sherem and to create cities of Zion throughout the Rocky Mountains, the Coalition forces have regrouped and are planning another attack that will affect the entire world.

The Rise of Zion, the third novel in the bestselling Standing in Holy Places series, paints a vivid picture of exciting prophesied events that still must occur before the Second Coming. If you have an interest in what awaits the members of the LDS Church, this series should definitely be on your reading list!

Compelling Story, Marginal writing

Gary, UT - October 24, 2009

This treats a subject that most faithful LDS have interest. I found the story compelling however I felt like I was reading the Cliff notes, Schaum's Outlines or Readers Digest condensed versions. The story was not well fleshed out and thus somewhat boring.
