Product Description
Mixing classical influences with sacred hymns, James Conlee brings new interpretations of beloved melodies from both worlds. At times he combines actual pieces as with "Abide With Me/Pachelbel's Canon," "I Often Go Walking/Claire De Lune," and "Beautiful Savior/Sheep May Safely Graze." At other times classical influences are heard more subtly in the arrangements and delivery. Born from a desire to hear the great composer's music live on in our sacred traditional hymns, James brings new light to music that has inspired people for hundreds of years.
About the Author
James Conlee has performed all over the United States and the world, as a member of a Broadway show, as soloist with the Utah Symphony, and with the BYU Young Ambassadors. Born in Iowa and raised in the mountains of Utah, James began studying music at an early age and continued his studies as a music major in college. After serving a mission for the LDS Church he interrupting his university studies to move to New York where he was cast in the Broadway tour of Miss Saigon. After New York he moved back to Utah to take up a career as a recording artist. Now having produced and contributed to many projects for other artists, James is finally ready to bring his own unique voice and interpretations to light on his debut album, Sunday.

What a gentle yet powerful tribute to motherhood. Perfect for Mother's day or just to let your own Mother know you're thinking of her. Fantastic CD.

I bought this CD simply off of all the great reviews and I have to admitt, the price point was ideal. Anyway, I truly love this CD. I never even knew of James or his music but I know for sure I will keep an eye out for anything else he makes. It's simply beautiful!!

I bought this about a year ago because it was on sale and I like music for Sunday mornings. I have since bought several more copies to give as gifts because I love it so much. I love the hymns he chose and combined with the classical influences it is wonderful!
