Heimerdinger does a great job at creating a plot that makes the Book of Mormon come to life and connects the modern world with the ancient one.

Just last week I finished reading the second book in the Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites series called Gadiantons and the Silver Sword by Chris Heimerdinger. This time Jim Hawkins is a little older. He is attending BYU, and sadly his memories of his first adventure are now gone. But that doesn’t stop the evil Gadianton Robbers from coming to the latter days to seek revenge on him.
After running into Muleki, a Jershonite who has come to help, the gang is reunited with Garth, his old comrade, and his loveable sister, Jenny, along with Renea, Jim’s new sweetheart. Together they will have to fight against the evil power of the cursed silver sword of Coriantumr before it ends up in the wrong hands. The only way to get rid of the curse is to bury it in the coffer of the old prophet Ether with all the other swords.
