We expected this to be a good, short movie. Surprise! It wasn't good, it was Great! So much so that we are buying our own copy. Don't miss the extra insight and messages shared in the Special Features!!!

I had seen this DVD being promoted in December so when I saw it available in the store, I picked it up for Christmas. It may be short, but what an incredibly powerful message! We enjoy the additional behind the story highlights to learn more about this devoted man willing to consecrate all that he had and then to know the effect on his posterity. Then enjoy the behind the scenes making of the film. We've purchased more gift copies for our family and friends. Gary

John Tanner was one of my ancestors. Having heard his story over the years, it was absolutely wonderful to see it portrayed in the film. Father Tanner's faith in the Lord and in His Restored Gospel allowed him to not only be physically healed, but led him to help build the Kirtland Temple in a way few others could have at that time. He "lost" much willingly and trusted in the Lord completely. This is a wonderful film that shows the faith of a rich man who was unafraid to become poor in the Lord's service.
Wonderful, but a little too short

I received this as a Christmas gift from my step-Mother in law whose late first husband was, like me, a direct descendant of John Tanner. I enjoyed this DVD immensely but wish there was more content given. I have many publications about John Tanner and his son Sidney (my third great grandfather), so I guess I wanted to see more of what I read put to this story on film. Do I recommend it? YES! It might be too short for my taste, but the content shown is remarkable.

I really enjoyed this movie about my 4th Great-Grandpa John Tanner. What a wonderful man who gave so much for what he believed.
