Rodeo veterinarian Jo Powers is accustomed to operating under pressure—but nothing could have prepared her for the shocking discovery of the armed and bleeding escaped convict hiding in her truck. Even more disconcerting is the fact that Jo knows the man in the prison jumpsuit. Jo’s split-second decision to use her medical skill to save this man’s life is just the beginning, because now he needs her help to uncover the truth. Seven years ago, Branson Faulkner was accused of a murder he claims he didn’t commit. With the hope of finding new evidence to prove his innocence, he’s risked everything to clear his name and reclaim his life—but he can’t do it alone. Jo agrees to help, even though she isn’t completely sure Faulkner is innocent. Now, as Faulkner and Jo conduct their investigation, they discover an alarming connection between a string of homicides, and one truth is clear: there’s a murderer on the loose who will stop at nothing to cover his tracks . . .

About the Author
Kathi Oram Peterson loves to write edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense and young adult time travel. The constant thread she sews in both genres is faith in a higher power. She works hard to entertain her readers with clean, uplifting stories. Her path to publication took a detour as she raised three children. During those years, Kathi read all the how-to books on writing that she could find. When her last child graduated high school, she went back to college and earned her BA in English. She was fortunate to do an internship for the University of Utah’s Continuum magazine, where she learned to edit and write articles in the “real” world. Shortly after graduation, she was hired by a curriculum publisher to write and edit concept and biography books for children. She worked shoulder to shoulder with artists and computer programmers as she watched her children’s stories come to life. But the desire to write full-length novels called to her. Leaving the workforce, she devoted herself to writing fiction. You can contact Kathi through her website, www.kathiorampeterson.com, and her blog, www.kathiswritingnook.com.

This book keeps the reader guessing as to who the murderer is until the end. Kathi Oram Peterson does a wonderful job at word building and writing. Definitely worth reading.
Another phenomenal book by Kathi Oram Peterson!

Wanted is another phenomenal book written by Author Kathi Oram Peterson. I have never been disappointed with anything I have read from this author. She knows how to immediately draw you into the story and never lets the storyline drag. You are hooked and trying so hard to figure out who the bad guys are. Readers will get twisted and turned into so many directions that everyone looks a little bit guilty. She writes such great characters whether they are the good or bad guys. I loved Jo Powers and her strong spirit and determination to do the right thing. I also couldn't help but fall for convicted murderer and Jo's ex-husband Branson Faulkner. There is something about him that makes you want to believe in his innocence. There are many characters, Lance, Denny, Edward and even the Sheriff, that the author leads you to believe could be involved in several murders. I had ideas of who could have been involved, but I was still surprised at the end by who was involved and why. I loved the western flavor found in this book, along with veterinarian Jo's love for the many animals(A wolf, deer, and skunk to name a few) that she has saved. I also loved the rich descriptions of the gorgeous Idaho wilderness. With the unending suspense, the romantic tension and the realistic telling of Idaho country life, this book is a true winner.
Clean Romantic Suspense

I enjoy clean, romantic suspense novels, and found Kathi Oram Peterson's latest novel, Wanted, to be a great fit in that genre with national appeal. Opening Wanted with an escaped convict on the run, and then having the other main character deep in a tense rodeo setting was a great way to draw a reader in, even for non-rodeo fans. I was also drawn in by the familiar Idaho setting. I found the point of view switching back and forth between Jo and Faulkner to be an excellent way to get to know the characters, and it was an enjoyable way to discover the missing pieces to the crime. I thought I knew who the bad guy was very early in the story, but Peterson kept throwing in twists and turns that kept me from being completely sure. My initial guess was right, but there was much more involved than I initially thought. This is a fast and entertaining read that keeps you cheering for the underdog.

I LOVE reading books by this author! She is so good at dropping hints... The only problems is she drops hints leading you to believe that this one character did it.... BUT then...she drops hints leading you to believe it was another character who did it.... You HAVE to keep turning the pages...because you now don't know who did it and you are dying to find out! Also along the way she drops little touches of romance which just makes the story more intriguing!
Riveting suspense that held me captive until "The end"

I loved this book. The plot is intense...the characters real and likeable. Faulkner has just escaped from prison after 7 years, and forces Jo Powers (a rodeo vet) to take him back to her place to help him recover from a gunshot wound. Jo fights powerful memories and feelings as she helps the man who smashed her heart and faith so many years ago when he was imprisoned for murder. She will do anything to keep her son, Rhett, safe from him. The plot weaves around lots of tension in the form of Jo’s fiancé, Lance, her brother, Dennie, and Lance’s father, Edward. Faulkner must fight like crazy to get Jo to believe he’s innocent before she becomes entangled in a relationship that will bind her forever into a world that might be more dangerous than the one she left behind. Great suspense.
