I'm a shameless self-promoting author with (as most authors would secretly agree) a lisping ego. I wrote White Lies with the help of many students at American Fork High School (8 of the 500 questions are theirs) and my idea-generating friend, Adrian. He and I got the idea on January 1, 2009 while eating lunch at Gandolfo's Deli in American Fork. I spent the next four months generating the rules, and writing questions. Adrian made the Whiteliesgame Web site. Beyond the other things I've written (Kissing Kringle, Santa's First Flight, The UnValentine, and Laughing All the Way) White Lies manages to be two things--two wonderful things: (1) Simple, and (2) Genuinely fun to RE-play, which is hard to do, right? But this game is a definite re-player . . . especially with people you know. Nobody who's played it has been bored. True. Finally, you'll notice I give this review only one star. This game is great to play with people you already know well and people you'd like to get to know better. Its fun, easy to pick up on, and great for any game night!

I received White Lies for Christmas and our family played the game for our New Years Eve celebration. It was a blast,some of the answers were so out of character for the person answering the question. Fun, fun, fun! I plan to purchase it for other family members!
