space will provide you with personal account and auction information.

Is there a fee for bidding on an
item?
There is no fee to register, bid on an item, or win an auction. These are
all free to anyone who would like to participate.
What does it cost to sell an item?
The potential cost of selling an item at Auctions.DeseretBook.com can be
divided into two main categories: Pre-Auction Fees and
Post-Auction Fees
Pre-Auction Fees
Pre-Auction fees are the fees that a seller agrees to pay when he or she
lists a new auction. Initially, listing an auction is free. Each
user at Auction.DeseretBook.com is entitled to a certain number of free
listings per week, as determined by their feedback rating. Listing an auction only
costs money if you have already used all your free listings for that week
(a listing week is Monday through Sunday). If you would like to list
other auctions during that week, additional listings cost $0.25 apiece.

The final part of the Pre-Auction Fees is the cost of any specialty
features that you may wish to use to give your auction added visibility.

*Featured Auctions are not only listed on our
homepage and at the top of their respective category pages, but are also
featured in a special Auctions.DeseretBook.com newsletter that is sent
twice-weekly to interested customers and users of the Auction forum
.
Your Pre-Auction Fee is the total of the Listing Fee (if you have
exceeded your weekly alotment of free listings), and the fee for Specialty
Features (if any).
Post-Auction Fees
Post-Auction Fees are currently comprised of only the Closing Fee. The
Closing Fee is a small percentage of final sale price of your auction.
Therefore, if your auction recieved no bids, or if your reserve was not
met, there is no closing fee. Closing fees are automatically
assessed at the close of an auction. If the actual sale between a seller
and a buyer falls through, or in the case of other extenuating
circumstances, it will be the seller's responsibility to contact us to petition for a
refund.

*For Dutch Auctions, the Closing Fee is determined
by the Final Sale Price (the lowest successful bid) multiplied by the
number of items that were sold.
EXAMPLE: Sam's auction closes with a
winning bid of $100.00. Since the final sale price is more than $25, but
less than $1000, Sam pays $1.25 (5% of the first $25.00) + $1.88 (2.5% of the remaining $75.00),
giving his complete Post-Auction fees a grand total of $3.13.
How am I billed?
Any charges accumulated during the month will be charged to your credit
card by Deseret Book at the beginning of the next month.
