Learning to Minister together in the Church and in the Family
Church and family councils are one of the best resources available to us in winning the battle for the souls of our Father's children. I feel strongly that the best way to help lift the burden of leadership--both in the Church and in the family--is to invite council members to assist in finding the answers and implementing the solutions that the gospel of Jesus Christ provides.
Elder Ballard shows that the pattern for government by councils is divinely inspired, and he point out the wisdom and strength available in properly conducted Church and family councils. He teaches, for example,
how to plan and conduct a truly effective council meeting, what individual council members can bring to their assignments, and how to make better use of the combined inspiration, wisdom, and experience of all council members.
He reminds us, too, of the unique perspectives that women bring to Church and family councils: "It is a short-sighed priesthood leader who does not see the value of calling upon the sisters to share the understanding and inspiration they possess."
Book is hardcover in good condition, dustjacked shows slight wear with a few small creases and scratches. On the outside middle pages is a small spot. Copyright 1997, 188 pages.
