Discourses of Brigham Young, wisely selected by Dr. Widtsoe from the innumerable sermons President Young delivered throughout his long, useful life as leader in the Church, affords concentrated reading on vital phases of Mormon doctrine.

The first chapter includes excerpts which define the gospel of Jesus Christ; the second, the Godhead; the third, communication between God and man; and so on through forty-two chapters which include also such topics as happiness and social enjoyment, education, the family, and many more essential tenets of the Latter-day Saint belief.

Book is hardcover in good condition. At the beginning of the book is a black and white picture of President Young. Selected and Arranged by John A. Widtsoe, Edition of 1951, 497 pages. Name of former owner on front flyleaf.
