This fascinating visual history captures the character of Brigham Young with 140 images (color and black and white) of the prophet some refer to as the "Moses of the Mormons." The most interesting are the written descriptions of Brigham Young by visitors to Salt Lake City over a 40 year period including Ralph Waldo Emerson, President Ulysses S. Grant, President James A. Garfield, Mark Twain, General Sherman, Secy of State William Seward (purchase of Alaska), and numerous others.
