President Kim B. Clark completed his freshman year at Harvard University before serving a two-year mission in the South German Mission. He then studied for one year at Brigham Young University, where he met his wife, Sue. They married in 1971 and returned to Cambridge, where he completed his education at Harvard University—earning bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in economics. In 1978 Kim joined the Harvard Business School faculty; he was named dean of the School in 1995. He served in that capacity until summer 2005, when he left to become the president of Brigham Young University—Idaho. Kim and Sue are the parents of seven children and the grandparents of nine.
