Chieko N. Okazaki served as a counselor in the general Relief Society presidency from 1990 to 1997. Her powerful teaching and cheerful enthusiasm for the gospel have made her a sought-after speaker and endeared her to members of the Church around the world. She is the author of several bestselling books and audio talks, including Lighten Up; Being Enough; and her most recent, What a Friend We Have in Jesus. She and her husband, the late Ed Okazaki, have two sons.
