Janet Peterson earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in English from BYU and has taught writing courses at Salt Lake Community College and the Salt Lake BYU Center. Her byline has appeared on more than 100 articles for Church magazines, including numerous interviews with General Authorities and auxiliary leaders for the ‘Friend to Friend’ column.
Remedies for the ‘I Don’t Cook’ Syndrome (2001) is Janet’s fourth book published by Deseret Book. With LaRene Gaunt, she co-authored Elect Ladies: Presidents of the Relief Society(1990), Keepers of the Flame: Presidents of the Young Women (1993), and The Children’s Friends: Primary Presidents and Their Lives of Service (1996).
She and her husband, Larry Peterson, have five hungry sons and one daughter, and four adorable grandchildren.
Janet currently serves on the Church Correlation Committee.
