This position will report to the General Manager of the Music Division at Deseret Book Company/Shadow Mountain Records. In this position you will market and promote all of the music produced by the company (Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Hilary Weeks, Michael McLean, Kenneth Cope, Jenny Oaks Baker, to name a few). You will have the opportunity to develop and implement regional and national advertising & public relations campaigns and bring unprecedented exposure and visibility to the label artists. This hands-on position involves all aspects of branding, marketing, and public relations with responsibility for the successful execution of all marketing, promotion and P.R. plans for both products and events sponsored by the Music Division.
Key Position Responsibilities-
- Strategic planning for marketing, promotion & P.R. on all label releases
- Supervise the production of all promotional materials
- Coordinate and assist sales team with merchandising opportunities
- Effectively manage project budgets
- Manage event logisitics, promotions and ticket sales

Required Skills
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field
- 1 – 5 years "real world" experience in marketing, promotion, event management, and/or public relations
- Strong sense of urgency, drive and passion to take ownership of all projects
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and MUST be detail oriented (very important)
- Ability to multi-task (a must!)
- Quality communication, writing, analytical and presentation skills
- Very proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Understanding of LDS culture helpful
- Occasional overnight travel required (typically 4th quarter)
- Entertainment industry experience helpful, but not necessary
